I love shawls! I wear them every day, all year round. During a cold winter, or those long Norwegian summer nights. I am particularly fond of shawls that double up as scarfs. Thus not too bulky.

This shawl is a perfect design to play around with colours and to use some of your leftovers and minis. The first part is knit in one colour, and you need the most yarn for this. The waves can be knit with 10 different colours or you can alternate between just two. Some of the shawls shown here have fewer waves.
The shawl with eight waves uses one colour for the first part and waves in four different colours. The pink shawl has nine waves
in three different colours, where one of the colours is also used for the first part.
All the other pictures shown in this pattern have ten waves using five colours for the waves, some with a different colour for the first part, and others include the first partcolour in the waves.

All the shawls use fingering with yardage 100 gr/(366m-420m).

Have a good look through your leftovers, your minis or other skeins you love, play around with the different colour combinations and put together your favourite combo. Have fun creating and knitting your perfect shawl.

Finished Measurements
Length : 200 cm
Depth: 45 cm

Materials & Tools:
• Fingering yarn (100gr/420m)
• 4 mm/ US 6 circular needle (or size to give you correct gauge), length 80cm
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:
14 sts/22 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in pattern after blocking

Skills needed:
Casting on, knit, yarn overs, various, decreases, binding off.

Pattern notes:
The shawls can easily be made smaller by knitting fewer waves. If you use thinner yarn with a higher yardage you may consider going down a needle size, otherwise your sts may become very loose. This will alter the finished size.

Yardage per section:
First part 52 gr/220 m
Wave One 7 gr/35 m
Wave Two 8 gr/40 m
Wave Three 8 gr/40 m
Wave Four 8 gr/40 m
Wave Five 9 gr/45 m
Wave Six 9 gr/45 m
Wave Seven 10 gr/50 m
Wave Eight 11 gr/55 m
Wave Nine 11 gr/55 m
