I wanted to create an elegant, classy and wearable sock that was inspired by one of my favorite Harry Potter characters. Where better to look for inspiration than to Harry’s beautiful loyal companion Hedwig. Sous Son Aile is the lovely French translation for “under her wing”

My Sous Son Aile sock has decorative twists and yarn overs that create a beautiful feather effect. This pattern is fun, easy to knit and looks great when knit with both variegated and semi solid yarns. It’s wearable and classy and can easily be knit into a full length sock if you prefer.
