PATTERN COMING MID-2024….

The Southern Lights Circle Duster vest was designed for the more full bodied woman (like me!). Too many circle vests cut away to the back too high up to be flattering for a fuller figure. If you want a circle vest that drapes beautifully in the front as well as the back, and covers up the front more, then this one is for you. This uses two Lola gradient yarn cakes. Most of it comes from the first cake, as you get further out into the star/ripple section, it takes more yarn to get around so the second cake is mostly found there. I pulled one from the outside and one from the inside to get the colours to start and finish on the same colour.

I am an Aussie 16-18 size and 5’6” so the photos of the vest with the me (the blonde middle aged woman) should give you an indication of fit. There are instructions for adjusting the size somewhat but to do so in the Peacock section will be difficult and take some math.

This is a pattern for experienced hookers or intermediate hookers wanting to push themselves.

Huge thanks to my crew of testers - Rosemary, Mira, Liz, Andrea, Helen, Suzanne and Colleen. This was the hardest pattern to create and I could not have published it without the finding all my errors in the written pattern. If you find any errors in the pattern, the fault is mine. Please message or email me and let me know!
