Everyone will want to snuggle under this beginner-friendly blanket in soft, fluffy super bulky yarn.

This simple pattern is all double crochet (US terms) in between the stitches. So easy! This is a great pattern for crocheting in dark rooms, while watching television or children, on road trips, or for crocheters with limited sight. Photo tutorial included in the pattern.

Pattern is written in US terms and includes explanations of all stitches and abbreviations. US and metric measurements given. Requires only chain and double crochet stitches.

Finished dimensions are about 40 by 66 inches (102 by 168 cm) when using super bulky weight yarn and an 8 mm hook.

Requires about 880 yards (804 meters) of super bulky yarn.

The sample blanket used 4 cakes of Bernat Blanket Ombré yarn (100% polyester; 220 yards (201 m) per 300-gram cake). One cake of Navy Ombre, one cake of Shaded Blue Ombre, one cake of Ocean Teal Ombre, and one cake of Violet Ombre.

Add a new cake whenever the old one runs out. Go with the flow of color changes- no cutting or controlling of colors needed.

You can use any yarn you like. Be aware that your blanket may be larger or smaller than the dimensions listed here if you use a different yarn or hook size.
