The mittens are worked from the cuff. Increases for the thumb are made with a gusset on the side of the mitten.

The mittens are knit using about 100 grams of fingering weight yarn: 50 grams of your main colour, and 50 grams of your contrast colour. The result is a pair of mittens for a hand of about 17cm high and 8cm broad. The pattern has tips on how to adapt the size for bigger hands.
