Spant is a Danish word for the part of a ship or boat that supports the outer casing.

Spant is a sweater/pullover knitted from the bottom edge and up with a textured pattern on the yoke. The sweater has a raglan yoke and long sleeves. Spant has traditional rib edges. The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 18 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of 90 meters per 50 grams. Pictured in Sandnes Peer Gynt.

The pattern includes directions for knitting a size S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL with chest width of 107 (113, 122, 131, 138, 147) centimeters and a length of 65 (68, 70, 72, 75, 77) centimeters.

The pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions, make increases and decreases, pick up stitches and work in the round. (The pattern is a combination of text and a small chart)

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.

I have a loyalty program where you can choose a free pattern after purchasing my patterns for at minimum of § 25.0.
