Sparkling Flower Granny Square
Granny Squares are all the rage right now, although they never completely went out of fashion. I made this festive design especially in honour of the 10th anniversary of Dutch crochet
magazine ‘Aan de Haak’ and it’s available to everyone as a FREE pattern. The 3D flower pops up in the middle of this Granny Square, which you can use for anything you like. Think of a bunting line, a bag, a pillow or to pimp your clothing.
Of course I used recycled yarn, where the Lurex in the yarn provides an extra festive glitter accent. I hope you enjoy it!
Materials needed: for 1 Granny Square, size approx. 12x12 cm:
3 colours Hoooked Odyssey Lurex, 60% recycled cotton, 20% other
recycled fibres, 20% Lurex, 50 g = approx. 90 m per ball. For 1 Granny Square approx. 6 - 7 grams per colour are needed.
