If you’ve ever had a really special skein of fingering weight yarn that you feel deserves to be something less wearing than socks, but you only have one skein and not enough for a shawl, this is the pattern for you!

The name is inspired by my friend Paula, who calls her favourite Nescafe latte a ‘Special Favourite’, an expression which soon caught on in our house too!

This is my ‘Special Favourite Cowl’, made with a skein of precious stash and made even more special by adding a suri alpaca cloud lining for extra squish and cosiness!

Size: One size - adjustable depending on gauge and amount of yarn available..

You will need:
• Approx 100g of fingering-weight yarn (approx 350m/382yds)
• Approx 70g of Suri Alpaca Cloud lace-weight yarn (approx 200m/220yds) - alternatively you can use mohair if you prefer it!
• 60cm circular knitting needles in 3 sizes: 3.25mm, 3.5mm, 4mm
• Stitch marker to mark beginning of round
• Scissors
• Darning needle for ends

Gauge: 26 stitches and 36 rows in stocking stitch on the main body of the cowl
