Lace knitting is done two ways in this pattern! The length of the scarf is worked in double-knitting, with just a touch of simple double-knit lace to make things interesting. The ends feature a flirty ruffle done in standard lace-knitting.

The pattern is suitable for those who have tried double-knitting, and wants to expand their horizons a bit. The double-knit lace in this scarf is about as simple as it can get.

The two ends of the scarf are a bit unusual for double-knitting, in that they both end with a lacy ruffle. I have provided instructions for how to do this.
I have also included instructions for the double-knitting lace stitches used in the scarf, for those who are newcomers to double-knitted lace.
