Twirling lines of weaving lace work their way across this stunning piece, mimicking the path of the whirling binary star that lends its name as it spins through the Virgo constellation. Though the lace pattern extends up to a 32 row repeat, it is deceivingly complicated-looking, with only one row in the whole shawl using more than yarnovers and single-stitch decreases, putting this stellar accessory within earthly limits.

Spica Shawl is a classic triangular shawl worked flat from center back to bottom edge.

This pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
