Best of two worlds, traditional and renewal, combined in this Si Sjo Spice It Up! sweater.
The form, with its yoke of stranded colourwork, reminds of old Northern European knittings. The knitting technique with alterations of knitted and purled stitches, working two threads as one, gives the tradition a new dimension.
Choose ton sur ton shades of yarn to give your sweater a sophisticated look. Or give it some extra brilliant vibes and spice it up by choosing more contrasting colors.

Spice It Up sweater is, top down, knitted in the round.
you start with the Yoke, than knit the body and finally knit the sleeves.
It can, therefore, be given the length that fits you best. Though my sample versions are full length, it might be a really good idea to knit a cropped one, if you like it more hot!

The pattern is a booklet and you’ll find three different colored versions of this sweater in it; ‘Salt&Pepper’, ‘ Paprika’ and ‘Mustardseed’. I strongly believe you couldn’t knit it just once…

There are three different yarn suggestions described in the pattern; they’re all of natural sources like wool, alpaca and silk. I simply love the comfort these fibres provide, and I have a strong intention to use sustainable materials for garments that last!

I enjoyed designing and knitting every single stitch of this Spice It Up! sweater and sincerely hope you’ll have the same pleasure, knitting and wearing it!

Spice It Up! pattern will be released on Valentine’s Day!
