This weekend (19 and 20 September) is National spider counting weekend in the Netherlands.
If you don’t fancy counting spiders you can crochet this spider web with dew drops and the spider. The spider web contains little beads that shine in the (sun) light, just like dew drops.

It is a fun and fast project and you need:

  • 50 grams silver yarn (= 125 meters/ 137 yards)
  • some leftover black yarn for the spider
  • dew drops beads; I have used approx. 50 tiny beads (Rayher Rocailles 4mm) in the color rainbow. But you can choose any size (not smaller) beads and any amount you want.
  • metal ring with a diameter of 50 cm / 19.7 inch

Level: intermediate

It is not a difficult pattern and I have added some photos about ‘how to string small beads through a thread’ and ‘how to place the beads’ and ‘how to attach the web to the ring’.
