Pattern description from Stitch and Bitch Nation: “I design a lot of knitted items, and most of my patterns come from trial and error, with one project leading organically to the next. The capelet pattern came about when I wanted to make something that was more airy and delicate than the sweaters and ponchos I had been knitting all winter. The design is a combination of a simple scarf and a circular poncho. Simple shaping at the shoulders keeps its relaxed and drapey enough to fit anyone, but the lace stitch and pom-pom ties make it a fancy, girly, vintage-inspired accessory.”
