Introducing my Spidey knitting pattern, which makes a super Halloween decoration. To make the bendy legs I inserted pipe cleaners (chenille stems) inside each leg, but you could make a spider with dangly legs instead. (For safety, pipe cleaners would not be suitable if the toy is for babies or young children.)

  • The pattern is 3 pages and written in English.
  • Spidey’s body knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight single-pointed knitting needles, and the legs are i-cord knitted on two DPNs.
  • You will also need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew a seam.

  • A pair of straight 3.5 mm (US 4) single-pointed knitting needles
  • Two 3.5 mm DPNs (US 4)
  • Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight)
  • Small buttons for eyes
  • Toy filling
  • Pipe cleaners (chenille stems)
