Here is my Spiked Mint Hat pattern, a beanie style hat worked from the bottom up for an adult size.

Try not to crochet your sl sts too tight, or your ribbing will be very hard to do.

The spike stitch is created over multiple previous crocheted rows.

I used Tent Sale Chunky (http://www.yarnfactoryoutlet.com/e-tent) in white and soft mint, one skein of each. A direct substitution would be Bernat Softee Baby Chunky in Fluffy White Cloud and Surf Green. You can also use any chunky #5 weight you wish. You won’t use the entire skeins for the hat…you will likely be able to make 2 hats from the yarn.
