This is a crocheted basket that can be used to keep your yarn from rolling away while working. Your yarn bowl will measure approximately 5 inches in diameter and 5 inches high if using worsted to aran weight yarn and a 4mm hook. Achieving gauge is not necessary, if you do not have the same gauge as me, it will just change the size of your finished project and may slightly change how much yarn you need which will most likely be around 100 to 120 yards total.

This pattern uses mostly simple single crochet stitches in the round but also uses spike stitches and crocheting in the third loop. A brief explanation with photos is given.

This pattern was originally used during the 220 More or Less group’s MCAL for October 2021. If you are interested in reading the version as it came out as 8 mini clues check out the clues thread.
