Galaxies, including our own Milky Way, often have characteristic spiral shapes. As I created this beanie, I imagined billions of stars and majestic nebulae nestled within the colorful spiraling cords of yarn. The spiral stitch that makes up the body of the beanie makes a fabric that looks like i-cords spiraled into a lacy mesh. The single ply and slightly felted texture of Malabrigo Rasta give this beanie a soft, cloud-like feel.
