Half- finger gloves to help keep away the chill that feature a continuous spiral pattern on the back of the hand.

This pattern is versatile and can be made with any fingering weight yarn that works up with US 1 (2.25mm) needles. Solid colors are recommended, as cables tend to get lost in variegated yarns. If you have fingering weight yarn that works up best with US2 (2.75mm) needles, you can still use the pattern -- just make the next size down (i.e., if you want to make a medium size gloves with US 2 needles, follow instructions for small gloves); be mindful that the gloves will be slightly thicker if you do this.

As written, this pattern uses just over one ball/skein of sock yarn to make a pair of gloves.

Small size would be recommended for a young teen or a very petite person.
Medium is going to fit most adult hands.
Large is for the person in your life with ham hocks for fists.

If you are in doubt as to sizing, you generally can’t go wrong with the medium…worst case scenario, you have a pair to gift or keep for yourself :)
