A Perfect Fitting Toe-up Tube Sock!
In this design, inspired by my sister Trish, I wanted to make an easy to knit toe-up sock. Since the easiest sock to knit is a tube my challenge was to make one that fit well. By creating one long spiral, I produced a foot hugging wonder-sock. This toe-up sock is probably the easiest sock I have ever made and is, as are all toe-up socks, yarn thrifty. Make the sock according to the dimensions or as long as the yarn lasts. Keep in mind that the spiral design is very stretchy and so the gauge is very important and one size really does fit most. As the pattern is based on a pattern over 5 stitches to change the size you’d have to add or subtract in multiples of 5, creating a significant change. The better way to make small adjustments is changing needle size. In the photos the model wears socks knit to pattern and she normally wears a 9.5 (Euro 42-43) shoe size.
I am dedicating this pattern to my sister who loved the socks. Now I wear them and the spirals are like a sock hug. All proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
