ABOUT THE DESIGN
The Spirit of Holberggård is a beautiful table runner or a towel, depending on the repeats of the pattern. The unique crochet technique creates a nice textured effect and an elegant style.

CROCHET TECHNIQUE
The technique is interlocking crochet. It involves two crochet layers in different colors that are interlinked, creating relief patterns. The two layers/colors are named RC (relief color) and BC (background color).

SKILL LEVEL
Advanced. If you are familiar with the technique, you are good to go. If you are not, the pattern includes a Technique Class for a swatch. When you have done it, you are ready for the pattern.

YARN
Cotton 8/4 (160 m/50 g).

• RC (Relief color): White
• BC (Background color): Brass See consumption below

HOOK
Hook size 2.5 mm

DIMENSIONS AND YARN CONSUMPTION
Please note that yarn consumption and final size depend on yarn, crochet hook, and crochet tension. Yarn consumption and dimensions are therefore indicative:

• 1 repeat (34 × 78 cm): RC: 100 g, BC: 100 g
• 2 repeats (34 × 155 cm): RC: 200 g, BC: 200 g
• 3 repeats (34 × 233 cm): RC: 300 g, BC: 300 g

WINDOWS
In interlocking crochet, measurements are also expressed in “windows” (a window is one square in the chart):

• 1 repeat = 45 × 71 windows
• 2 repeats = 45 × 141 windows
• 3 repeats = 45 × 211 windows

NOTE
The pattern is written for right-handed crocheters.

LANGUAGE
All documents for The Spirit of Holberggård and the technique explanation (Technique Class) are available in both English and Danish. The pattern uses US terminology for both languages.
