I designed this vest, belt and headband for Round 5 of The Battle of the Stitches. I tried to come up with something unique and different so people wouldn’t guess it was mine. My favorite part is the belt. I have worn it many times and love it with jeans and skirts.

Size: Vest - teen/small adult; Belt and Headband can be made in additional lengths.

Skill level: Intermediate beginner with basic crochet skills and able to read a pattern.

Materials
Yarn: worsted weight yarn
Sample: Lion Brand Heartland (2 skeins), Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable (1 skein), small amount of ww turquoise

Crochet Hooks: H, I, J hook

Miscellaneous: yarn needle, 2 large buttons/jewelry piece (1 for vest, 1 for headband – optional), sewing needle and thread.

Gauge for vest: 4” with H hook – 14.5 hdc and 10.5 rows
4” with I hook – 8 trinity clusters

Finished sizes
Vest: Teen/small adult. Bottom width – 18”; from shoulder to bottom edge – 21”
Belt: 4” x desired length
Headband: 2” x 29” (without ties)
