Welcome to Spiritual Flower, an overlay mosaic crochet pattern that’s has 2 different ways to create CENTER OUT AND ROW BY ROW!! And you get both patterns with your purchase.

The CENTER OUT pattern has charts (with Xs), written pattern, a whole chart and an optional border, plus photos of the first 8 rounds, plus a video link to how to make my center out patterns. The pattern has 123 rounds and the final round has 245 stitches per side.

The ROW BY ROW pattern has 249 stitches by 249 rows and comes with charts (with Xs), a full chart and written pattern, plus an optional border.

My blanket, row by row , I used 2 cakes together for my super colourful blanket, I went completely out of my comfort zone with this one!
YarnArt Flowers Alpaca DK, 250g cakes/940m. My background cake, colour 418, I used 1,782m/474g. Detailed cake, colour 438, I used 1,616m/430g. Total yarn used without border, 3,398m/904g.
My blanket measures, without the border and with a 3.5mm hook, 115cm squared 45inches squared.

Terri Griffith used for the background Stylecraft Special DK in White 500g, and I Love This Yarn-Sport also in white 543g. For the detailed colour Mandala Baby in the shade Narnia 543g.
Terri’s beautiful blanket measures 60/60” with a 3.5 hook and she used my border pattern with a 4.5 hook for the slip stitches and 3.5 hook for the main border pattern. The yarn was Mandala Baby in Narnia 132g, and I Love This Yarn in White, 34g.

Delz used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Soft Secret in.

Christina O’Connor used 840g/2100m if Nako Baby Elite DK in Ebony, 460g/1150m of Aldi So Crafty DK in Sand and Khaki 300g/750m, and 42g/112.5m of Apricot. Total used 4,112m, with a 4mm hook and her beautiful blanket measures 130cm squared.

Barbara Glueck used YarnArt LUXOR - 100 % Cotton - LL 125m / 50g.
Alize Bella Ombre Batik - 100 % Cotton LL 900 m / 250g.

Barbara’s stunning blanket measures 102/102cm with a size 2.5 hook and 2.25 for the last rounds and small border.

Tina Bonham used Scheepjes Colour Crafter in colour Zandvoort-
2624yds 8 skeins, Style craft Highland Heathers in Thrift 1skein 297yds, Thistle 1 skein, Campbell 1 skein, Loch 1 skein, Cairn 1 skein, Heather 1 skein, Bracken 1 skein, Lowland Green 5 skeins.
Tina’s amazing blanket measures 59.5” square with a 3mm hook.

Jane Hay used Scheepjes Whirl in Strawberries and Cream using 1 complete cake plus 25g of a second cake, for the contrasting colour was a Scheepjes Whirl in colour Liquorice Yum Yum, plus 64g of Liquorice Whirlette.
Jane’s absolutely beautiful blanket measures 86/86cm with a size 2.75 hook and 2.5 for the last 20 rounds.

Terry Parmentier used Aran yarn, Lion Brand Pound of love for each colour, Background is Waterfall Cascade 2570yds was used, and detailed colour in Antique White 2818yds was used.
Terry’s amazing blanket is 6 feet square! Using a size 5mm hook and for the last 10 rounds a 4.5mm hook.

Kelly Moredock used Lion Brand Pound of Love in Antique White for the background colour 2900yds, and for the detailed colour Caron Cinnamon Swirls in Twilight Surf, 1600yds. For her border she used Lion Brand
Pound of love in Denim, 150yds.
Kellys gorgeous blanket measures 6 feet square! With a 4mm hook.

Caroline van Rijnberk Scheepjes Whirl in Sherbert Rainbow using 2 cakes for the detailed colour and for the background colour Sheepjes Whirlettes 3+60g in Acai Berry.
Carolines beautiful left handed blanket measures 87.5cm with 2.75 and 3mm hooks.

You can use any yarn for your project, with thinner yarn you’ll use less yarn and your project will be smaller and with thicker yarn you’ll use more yarn and your project will be bigger.

With overlay mosaic crochet all single crochet stitches go into the back loop of the stitch and all double crochet stitches go into the front loop of the stitch 2 rows below which will be of the same colour. You cut the yarn at the end of every row and join new yarn at the start of every row, the ends will either be left to create a
fringe, or you can create an envelope border, I have a PDF in the files of my Facebook group.
