This is a top down crescent shawl, starting with a garter stitch tab.
The pattern makes use of elongated stitches. The edging is a lace knit border and is knit sideways after the body of the shawl is complete.
There is a chart and written directions for the shawl edging.

You knit one edge stitch together with one shawl stitch on every wrong side row.
The shawl is reversible, the edging and stitches look beautiful on either side.
One skein of the (blue) neighborhood fiber yarn was used, and about 1 1/2 skeins of the madeline tosh was used.

Any fingering weight yarn will work for this pattern.

A size 4 US circular 24” needle is used to start with and a longer circular needle is needed as more stitches are added.
Please see errata for second repeat, section 7, row 8
In errata I have also described how to do the FLCO.
If you have too much trouble with this or can’t figure out how to do it, a back loop cast on will suffice.
On the 3rd repeat sec 11 gold yarn - please cut the yarn after this row.
