This brioche rib cowl is wonderfully soft and squishy. The mottled brown and white pattern reminded me of the spotted owls that live in the woods where I live in the Pacific Northwest. Spotted owls are non-migratory birds, and they stay active in winter, using their keen hunting skills to survive even in the snowy months – a winter cowl named for a winter bird.
