A two-colour striped shawl knit in a textured pattern which gives the illusion of a spotted or checked design. It is featured on p. 63 of the First Series of Miss Watts’ The Ladies’ Knitting and Netting Book. The author recommends using Fringe no.9 (of the same publication) or a similar border as a trim for the shawl.
