This is a pattern for a basic amigurumi dog with spots. You can make a character dog like Spot or customise your colours and spots to suit your own dog!

It is recommended 2-3 balls of main colour (yellow) are purchased. I used just short of 2 balls of Carnival 8 ply acrylic 100g And less than 2 balls of Bendigo Woollen Mills 8 ply classic in maize. As you work most of the pattern with 2 strands together, I found 2 balls easier to work with than both ends of a single ball of yarn. You could substitute a bulky weight yarn or make this with 8 ply and 4 ply for single strand parts. Gauge is not important. The brown/black could be done with scraps as minimal yarn is needed (maybe 15-25g).

This project is worked with a 4mm hook but you could get away with up to 5mm hook depending on yarn and how tight you crochet.

This pattern assumes a basic knowledge of crochet stitches, increasing and decreasing. Most of the pattern is worked in the round but some parts are worked around a chain or back and forth.

Photos are provided of the parts of the dog through the pattern.
