A touch of spring - Sprig in My Step is a lace triangle shawl designed with spring and new beginnings in mind. Originally done in fingering weight, this pattern can be made from lace weight, sport weight, or DK as well.

The size of this shawl is determined by the needle size and yarn used. A fingering knit with 3.25mm needles will yield a shawlette at least 42 inches wide and 24 inches deep. Using 4.5mm will yield a shawl at least 50 inches wide by 27 inches deep. It all depends on you and how you want to knit this pattern. Gauge is not critical, but for a larger gauge, more yarn is required.

One skein of Wollmeise Pure has enough yardage to complete this shawl with yarn left over using 4.5mm needles. One skein of Cascade Heritage Sock has enough yarn to complete this shawl using 3.25mm needles, adhering to stated gauge.
