Every Spring in the Blue Mountains where I live there is a burst of pinks, white and fresh green as the trees blossom and the smell of honey perfumes the air. I wanted to capture that in this design of buds and leaves and grass amongst a splash of simple pink blossoms. I used a variegated yarn to show off the uneven prettiness of the sun coming through newly blooming trees.

This design can be made up using 4ply (fingering weight) yarn for an airy shawl or using 8/10ply (DK/worsted weight) yarn for a more hearty throw or blanket.
