Spring Feverish 3: Miniature Moon is my personal favorite from this group of small, transitional-season knits. It’s shaped like a shallow half circle--almost a crescent/half circle hybrid really.

It’s knit at a finer gauge, and it’s very elegant and small--not really a quick knit, though it takes only a fraction of the yarn and time needed to knit a full-size shawl or scarf. It fastens with buttons (the pattern includes photos of two different ways; it’s up to you to find more!), and fits average adults (22-23.5” head circumferences) as a headband or a neckwarmer.

You’ll need:

  • about 124 yards of Malabrigo Yarn Mechita, or similar.
  • needles in the size you need for gauge (suggested needle sizes are starting points; everyone knits differently!), straights or a circular
  • two buttons 5/8”/9mm
  • a small tapestry needle
  • if needed: a second needle to sew on buttons
