I love when the first leaves appear in the spring, bursting out of their buds and the whole landscape looking beautiful. I tried to capture that magical feeling with this crescent shawl knitted in two shades of green.

This shawl starts with an i-cord tab cast on and the i-cord edge continues across the entire wingspan of the shawl. A delicate leaf pattern is nestled between garter ridges that are knitted in a different shade of green and that resemble walking paths nestled among trees.

I labelled this project as advanced since the lace pattern on the wrong side also incorporates yarn overs and stitches knitted together; and since the shawl grows every row, you will need to incorporate new stitches into new lace pattern repeats.

I’m so happy with the way this turned out and I hope you will enjoy knitting it as much as I did.
