Inspired by the beautiful traditional Latvian mittens of the book Mittens of Latvia. The front features a repeating daisy pattern which heavily draws it inspiration from the book, however, the palm side of the mitten is knit in a different pattern, drawing inspiration from traditional Nordic patterns. The overall shape of the mitten is one of a Latvian mitten, not featuring any shaping for the thumb.

The mitten is worked on DPNS from bottom to top, and for every row of flowers there are two rows of three stranded colorwork. The pattern is of intermediate difficulty, there is a lot of colorwork and basic concepts such as increases or decreases are not explained.
