This pattern is for a very basic, lightweight beanie perfect for when out for a spring time walk when you don’t need a chunky hat warming your head but still need something to protect you from the chill.

I designed this pattern using what I had left of a Stylecraft Batik Swirl cake but if you don’t want to use one cake and create your own small balls of yarn from that, the same colours can be found as individual balls of yarn in the Stylecraft Batik range. The construction is very basic but the charm comes in the colour arrangement.

The pattern is for one size (medium adult head) but is easily adjustable - to make smaller, crochet fewer increase rows and to make bigger, crochet more increase rows. Crochet fewer or more rows after this to adjust the length of your hat.

This is a free pattern but if you enjoy it and want to support me by paying for it, you can do so by support me on Ko-Fi with a donation.
