FINISHED DIMENSIONS
wingspan 87 inches (221 cm) with a depth of 31 inches (79 cm) at center point

MATERIALS
2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, 437 yds (400 m) for each MC and CC

I recommend something that will allow the lace to open up once blocked and provide enough drape. Feel free to experiment and knit swatches to find the fiber and fabric that suit you best.

The sample is knit using:
Dusty Tree DyeWorks, ROOT | dream, (100% sw polwarth wool); 437 yds (400 m) / 100 g
shown in - Apricot Desire (MC) 1 skein, November (CC) 1 skein.

NEEDLES
US 7/4.5mm: 24” circular or longer

NOTIONS
4 stitch markers and tapestry needle for weaving in ends

GAUGE
16 stitches and 31 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in main body stitch pattern after blocking.

I admit the gauge is somewhat difficult to measure in the main body stitch pattern. So remember, for this pattern, the gauge is not critical but will affect the size of the shawl and the amount of yarn needed.
