This cosy cowl is a lovely spring accessory to add to your knit list this season. The stranded colourwork motif is inspired by the symbol for Ūsiņš, the Latvian deity associated with spring, light and bees. For those new to stranded colourwork this cowl is a fun, challenging project.

For more advanced knitters this might make a good TV knit or a quick knit project perfect for a last minute gift. Cast on this project and make the springlight cowl while you wait for the actual spring light to appear.

We designed this cowl for use with the ‘&make DK’ yarn from The Fibre Company, but it would also work well with any other DK to light worsted weight yarn.
