Here is “The Springtime Door Banner” pattern! It is a quick and easy pattern so that you can whip up a lovely project in a very short time with leftover yarn. Perfect to use yourself as decor in your own home, as an addition to a hostess gift basket or as a wonderfully decorative banner for doors of your friends and family.
You may be familiar with the concept of the “May Basket” placed on doors on May Day, May 1st. Wouldn’t this be a cute replacement or addition to that lovely Spring tradition?

Skill Level: Beginner

Size: One Size (5 inches x 7.5 inches)

** I recommend reading through the entire pattern before you begin. That way you can have a good idea of what is included and you won’t run into any surprises while you are working on the project!**

Materials Needed:

  • Approximately 50 yards of Cotton Yarn. I used Lily “Sugar ’n Cream” (100% cotton). #4 weight yarn. (For the body of the banner.)
  • Small amounts of various colors of cotton yarn for the center and petals of each flower.
  • Crochet Hook: Size “H” (5.00 mm) (Used for both the banner and the flowers.)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle  (Used for working in loose yarn ends and sewing on flowers.)
  • Glue Gun and glue sticks (optional - flowers can be sewn on or glued)
  • 1/4-inch Satin Ribbon. (I used approximately 24 inches). The type and length of ribbon is up to you.

Finished Size: Banner: Approximately 5 inches wide x 7.5 inches long
Flower: Approximately 3.25 inches in diameter
