Springtime Serenade Shawl
I drew this shawl using the flowers, leaves, and butterflies from Ashlee’s 2020 Mother’s Day CAL (see https://ashleeslint.com/2020-mothers-day-cal/)1.
I wanted to celebrate my beginnings with this new shawl!
The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern. YouTube Tutorials
Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. YouTube Tutorials

Important Details
I wanted this design to work for multiple types of yarn. If you use worsted weight yarn (4 – medium), you’ll get a really cozy wrap. If you use fingering weight yarn (1 – super fine), you’ll get a more lightweight shawl. Make one of each!
You can also use this design as a bed runner or table runner, and once again you’ll want to decide what kind of yarn you’ll use based on how large you want the finished project to be.
