Whiteowlcrochetco. Sprout Duster Cardigan

Looking for that gorgeous handmade cardigan that barely looks handmade? One with drool-worthy drape, light enough for the summer, warm enough for the winter? Sprout was made for you!

Sprout is worked both in rows and in rounds, from the bottom-up with a vertical edge detail running up the sides of the body and around the drop shoulder. The body of the cardigan is worked first beginning with a twisted rib hem and transitioning into stockinette. You’ll then split the cardigan body into 3 sections to begin forming the cardigan armholes. The cardigan will be seamed at the shoulders. You will pick up stitches for your sleeves, working in the round until desired wrist length. You will work a twisted rib wristband. Finally, you will pick up stitches along the entire lapel of the cardigan and work in twisted rib to finish off the cardigan.

Length of body and sleeves is easily modifiable, but note that this will require alternate yardage.
