A hat inspired by my evening dog walks in the Canadian Pacific West Coast. I loved the transition of trees into sky and the fact it looks almost identical upside down.

To accompany the hat I also produced a stop motion animation of the knitted hat; I hope you enjoy it as I’m never doing it again!

One word of advice, the pattern requires a lot of concentration as there is little repetition; so it’s not to not for those looking for a quick easily remembered repeated motif.

Pattern works with plain wool or the ombre wool recommended; take a look at the
Ombre Minikins for other coloring options!

Design features 10 spruce trees, repeated twice (each side).

One Size. Hat is 50cm circumference, to fit adult head 52-58cm

A Dark (30g / 126m / 138yds) (10g extra for folded brim)
B Light (25g / 101m / 110yds)

3mm (US 2.5) and 3.5mm (US 4) needles required.
