This is a written pattern, symbol chart, and video tutorial for a square crochet motif (block), which can be used for a variety of projects such as summer blouses and tops, table runners and table clothes, lacy bed covers, etc.

I made these motifs with mercerized 100% cotton thread size 10 and a size 1.6 hook. The finished size of my motif was 4 by 4 inches.

You can use other yarn or thread for your project. The finished size of your motif will be different.

The skill level is advanced beginner.

This a written pattern for the motif and instructions on how to join the motifs (they are joined “as you go” in the last round of the motif).
