Years ago, I had knitted a hand towel for my kitchen and I absolutely fell in love with it. So, I decided I needed some more and thought that I would share my pattern for my hand towel. Being a mitered square, this pattern is fun and interesting to make.

Feel free to use up your scraps of yarn, making it striped or make it a solid color.

Materials
Yarn: Worsted weight cotton yarn. Washcloth = 1 oz; Small Towel = 1.5 oz; and Large Towel = 3 oz.

Needles: One pair US 7 (4.5 mm) or size to meet gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, ¾ inch button(for towel), needle and thread to sew on button.

Gauge 17 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch.

Finished Size Washcloth = 7 ½ “ square; Small towel = 9” square with a diagonal drop while hanging of 12 ½ “ and Large Towel = 12” square with a diagonal drop while hanging of 17 ½.“
