This pattern is available for free.

This pattern works best when knit in a self-striping sock yarn that knits up with stripes at least 4 rows wide when following a typical sock pattern (around 60-64 stockinette stitches on size 2 needles).

The easiest way to identify an appropriate yarn is to look at a sample sock knit in the yarn or to search online photos and count the rows in each color stripe. You can also measure the length of the colors segments of the yarn in the skein with a measuring tape- the ideal yarn for this project will have color segments appx 120-240” in length.
