This rectangular stole is knitted back and forth in rows with a provisional cast on. A circular needle is recommended due to the large number of sts. Side borders are worked as part of the main body. After the main body, stitches are left live to join the top border, which is worked sideways. The provisional cast-on is then unpicked to work the bottom border in the same way. Using sharp knitting needles will make it easier to insert your needles into tricky stitches - very handy for p3tog tbl!
