Errata: 30” cowl in sport weight, cast on should be 169 stitches

This is a very fast and easy pattern!

It makes a great gift that looks a lot harder than it is. The pattern is written for three different sizes in chunky weight yarn but, there is a table included to allow you to quickly convert to nearly any yarn weight.

The options are limitless!

The 20” and 24” cowl can be knit with 100 grams of nearly any weight of yarn. The 30” can also be knit with 100 grams but, the cowl will be a little shorter. It’s easy to just finish when you run out of yarn.

The blue cowl is a 24” cowl knit with 100 grams (1 skein) of Squishy Soft Chunky. The red cowl is a 30” cowl knit with 100 grams (1 skein) of Squishy Soft Chunky.

Guage is not real important but, it will impact the finished size of your cowl. The table also gives some guidance on needle size, yarn weight, and size of cowl to help you determine the best option for the yarn you have on hand.

The cowl is knit in the round using a circular needle. An 18” or 20” circular seems to work best. a 16” will also work.

Yarn can be found at Studio June’s Etsy shop.
