Schiehallion Stripe Swatch Sampler Hat (ssssh)
A simple, slightly slouchy hat, to swatch the new Schiehallion shades. The stripe sequence illustrated here is just a suggestion - use your favourite shades and mix things up!
Yarn 
Kate Davies Designs Schiehallion (100% wool: 70% Corriedale, 30% Cheviot; 110m/120yds per 50g skein) 
1 skein of each of the following shades: 
A Mooring 
B Crowdie 
C Doris 
D Alto 
E Daunder 
F Rhubarb
Needles and notions 
Below gauge-size circular needle (40cm / 16in) for rib 
Gauge-size circular needle (40cm / 16in) for hat body 
Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working crown shaping 
Stitch marker 
Tapestry needle
Gauge 
22 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm / 4in over stockinette using gauge-size needle (blocked) 
Use 4mm needle as a starting point for swatching.
Size 
One size to fit head with 51-56cm / 20-22in circumference 
Be sure to check your gauge, and block finished hat appropriately.
