Do you somehow always manage to twist the cast on stitches when joining to work in the round? Avoid this frustration by working the hat from the top down instead of the bottom up!

Cast on a small number of stitches for the crown and increase to the full number for the body of the hat. Work an easy-to-memorise stitch pattern before changing to a stretchy ribbing for the brim. The brim folds up to provide a double layer of warmth over the ears.

There are two sets of instructions, one that includes charts and one that is fully written out.
