Inspired by the darkening autumn evenings in Helsinki, the Stadi cardigan is designed to be a cosy garment to wrap yourself in on chilly days. The smoky-blue silk mohair yarn adds depth to the dark navy wool yarn, while the broken seed stitch creates a calm rhythm and subtle texture in the knitted fabric. The contrast-coloured stripes at the cuffs add a sporty touch and an urban feel. Combining softness with clean lines, this cardigan is designed to move effortlessly with you through the city’s changing seasons.

NOTES
This cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, upper back is worked from the neck edge to the bottom of the armholes. Next, stitches for the fronts are picked up along the slanted edges of the back, and the front pieces are worked separately to the bottom of the armholes. The body is then worked as one piece from underarms to the hem. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked in the round down to cuffs. The cardigan is finished with a double-knitted button band.
