Make your own crocheted stag beetle! This pdf comes with a step by step pattern for each part of the beetle, pictures, and in depth assembly instructions.
This is a beginner-intermediate project. There is a lot of sewing involved, but it is not difficult. You must be able to do a single crochet, increase, decrease, and back loop crochet (back loops only).
You will need worsted weight yarn (though any kind of yarn works perfectly well!) in 4 colors. Optionally you might want a small piece of wire to help support the mandibles or legs, but worsted weight yarn should hold the shape you want without it.
