This pattern is for an ADULT sized hat (please see measurements given in the details)
This is a beret style hat: the pattern is given for 2 size profiles, and includes instruction on a made to measure crochet hat.

Pattern includes photos for technique clarification, major steps, and assembly- this pattern does not contain photos for every repeating step.

Pattern also includes a diagram (with accompanying legend) for the pieces.

The pattern booklet is in a PDF format (and is 12 pages).

Pattern details are as follows:

Level: Confident beginner/Intermediate- stitches aren’t complicated, but there is some faffing for sizing.

Project time: (crocheted at an average pace): small is approx. 2/2.25 hours. Large is approx. 2.5/2.75 hours (final sizing dependent).

Finished size:
Pattern for two sizes are given:
Larger: 13 ½” (34cm) from point to point with an inner diameter of 26 ½” (68cm) and lower.
Smaller: 12” (30cm) from point to point with an inner diameter of 24 ½” (62cm) and lower.

• Tape measure (for measuring head)
• Worsted weight yarn (weight 4) approx. 220 meters (240 yards) for small, and 240 meters (260 yards) for large
• Hook- 5mm for larger size, and 6mm for smaller

Stitches/Abbreviations Used- US terminology
• St: stitch
• Ch: chain
• Mr: magic ring
• Sc: single crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Fpdc: front post double crochet
• Bpdc: back post double crochet
• Sk: skip stitch
• Sl st: slip stitch
• F/O: finish or fasten off
• Instructions in brackets “()” are repeats: e.g. (3 dc, ch 1) x 5 means repeat stitches in brackets 5 times.
• Numbers in brackets “()” at the end of the row dictate the number of stitches you should have.
