Level up your brioche skills and look good doing it with this reversible infinity cowl. This is the perfect pattern for those beloved mini-skein sets. Enjoy the interplay of 2 colors in the marled garter sections and in the 2-color brioche short rows. Prefer a different length? This cowl can be easily shortened, or forgo the joining at the end and make a scarf instead!

This double-wrap reversible cowl alternates between garter sections in which 2 strands of fingering weight are held together and wedges of brioche in which the individual strands are used to create 2-color brioche. The length can be adjusted by adding or removing entire Zig & Zag sections, or by increasing or decreasing the length of the garter sections.

Work only 6 sections for a single-wrap cowl. If you’d like to make this a scarf instead, use your preferred cast-on and bind-off methods instead of the provisional cast-on and 3-needle bind-off used in pattern. Note: For a scarf you’ll likely want 14-16 sections, rather than the 12 called for in pattern. For this you’ll need 2-4 more MC colors, and approximately 70 - 140 yd / 62 - 124 m extra of your CC yarn, which may require an additional skein.

A low-vision version of the pattern is also available. This version is written in 24 point sans serif font (Arial) in all black text. It has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out.
