This is an Intermediate pattern. I made this hat with the star (jasmine) stitch, half double crochet, single crochet and slip stitch.

I used Red Heart with Love, a J (6.0 mm) hook for the brim and K (6.5 mm) hook for the body of the hat.

Red Heart with Love is thicker number 4 yarn so if you choose to use another worsted weight yarn keep this in mind because you may need to adjust the number of rows in the brim and stitches around the hat to get a proper fit. The star (jasmine) stitch is a multiple of 2 + 6.
